The Swinging Sixties have come to symbolise sexual freedom for women.
But it seems the era has nothing on the Naughty Noughties.
A study has found that today’s women have three times more sexual partners by the age of 24 than their counterparts in the age of the hippy.
A poll of 3,000 women revealed that those aged 18 to 24 between 2000 and last year had on average 5.65 partners. Read More…

Joggers have more active sex lives than those who never run, a new survey suggests.
One in ten joggers said that they have sex at least once a day and three per cent of joggers said they have sex twice a day.
Amongst non-runners one in four (25 per cent) said they had sex once a month or less.
The survey, which questioned 1,000 runners and 1,000 non-runners, also found that one in ten male runners confessed to thinking about sex while exercising.
In comparison, only five per cent of woman said they think about sex while running and almost half spend their time thinking about how the exercise...

Fertility doctors offering a human egg as first prize in a raffle were last night accused of commercialising the miracle of life.
One woman will win the chance to select their ideal donor egg based on its mother’s profession, ethnic background, hair colour, qualifications and upbringing.
As part of the free IVF cycle and egg prize – worth an estimated £13,000 – the winner of a raffle in London will also be able to view childhood pictures of potential donors before choosing one. Read More…

It is the cosmetic procedure that sounds like many women’s dream: increase the size of your breasts by up to a cup size, while taking inches off your tummy and thighs.
The operation, carried out under local anaesthetic, involves the patient having fat removed during liposuction, mixed with other body cells, and then reinjected into the breasts.
Unsurprisingly advocates believe this development is set to revolutionise the plastic surgery industry. Read More…

A nurse who cared for terminally ill women with cancer had sexual relationships with their partners after they died.
By Andy Bloxham
Sara Dale, 39, a Macmillan cancer nurse, was sacked by the hospital after a whistleblower reported the relationships and an inquiry found against her.
Miss Dale admitted to two relationships with the partners of former patients but she denied allegations that there was a third and it was not proven by investigators.
The nurse is divorced and has two children with her ex-husband.
The first liaison was when she began seeing the former partner of one patient after...

When someone you love is depressed, what are the warning signs that suicide is a possibility?
Every 17 minutes, someone dies by suicide in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Suicide is the 11th-leading cause of death for Americans, and while it often comes as a surprise to friends and loved ones, it is largely considered to be preventable if warning signs are heeded. “The tragedy of completed suicide is that most could have been prevented if family members knew what to look for,” says Lisa Boesky, a psychologist and author of When to Worry:...

10-minute body language. This week: ways to tell if someone is lying.
By James Borg
Society would quickly collapse were it not for the dozens of tiny lies we permit ourselves every day. Mostly we use this for simple good manners. For instance, when breaking up with a partner, we reassure them that “It’s not you, it’s me”, when in reality it most certainly is them.
We all learn to lie at such a young age: every parent will recognise the moment where a child first puts their hand to their mouth before stating a blatant lie. From that moment, we get steadily better at lying...

The mother of a six-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted at a Coquitlam daycare is suing the daycare and one of its employees for damages on behalf of her daughter.
In 2008, Kyle David Lennax, 23, was convicted and sentenced to two years less a day in jail and three years’ probation for his assaults on the girl at the Funshine Daycare Centre.
The mother, who can’t be identified due to a publication ban on any information that would identify the girl, says that the daycare and its operator knew or ought to have known of Lennax’s “sexual inclinations...
