Some dentists are marketing cosmetic dentistry as an alternative to a face-lift. By adding length or bulk to teeth, dentists aim to reshape the facial structure to smooth wrinkles and give a younger appearance.
With age, faces can shorten, chins move back, cheeks hollow, and wrinkles appear. Those changes can be at least partially reversed by remolding teeth, part of the scaffolding of the face, to create a new look, cosmetic dentists say. Read more…

A face cream derived from breast milk could help to beat acne in teenagers.
Scientists have found a component of mother’s milk called lauric acid, which also occurs in coconut oil, that can help reduce irritation and spots.
They hope a cream made with the naturally-occurring acid will avoid side effects including redness and burning caused by conventional antibiotic treatments. Read More…

The 46-year-old star, who has admitted to Botox, Juvederm fillers, lip-plumping and breast implants, argued on Tuesday that she hasn’t overdone it in the Botox department.

Looking at a woman’s hourglass figure can give men the same high as drinking alcohol or taking drugs, research reveals.
According to the study, men looking at a curvaceous figure activate the part of the brain associated with feelings of reward.
Scientists say their findings make sense of the view that curvier women, such as Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé Knowles, are sexually appealing.
Researchers used a sample of 14 men with an average age of 25 and showed them pictures of the posteriors of seven women. Read More…

This is an extremely old-fashioned method, but when all the liquid evaporates from the hair as it dries, a residue of hops and barley from the beer is left.
